ABOUT THE TEAM
Transformative Neurotherapy is a team of highly trained, empathetic clinicians who care about you as a whole person.
We’re proud to be nerdy about therapy and neuroscience. We offer neurotherapy because we know that effective mental health care can be both holistic and backed by the most innovative science out there.
AND WE LOVE NEUROTHERAPY BECAUSE IT REALLY WORKS.
HEATHER PUTNEY
PHD, LMFT, CSAT-S, QEEG-DL
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FOUNDER Untethered Therapy and Transformative Neurotherapy
Heather is a warm and approachable therapist, researcher, and leader who’s passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find their way to greater well-being. She believes that real healing happens when you look at the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and spirit—and she brings this holistic mindset to every session.
With a background that spans ecosystems, animal training, psychology, biology, and physiology, Heather is interested in the big picture of how everything in life is connected. This unique perspective shapes her counseling style, making her especially attuned to the ways our environment, physiology, and experiences shape who we are.
Heather is one of the Northeast’s top experts in NeuroField technology, working closely with leaders in neurotherapy to bring the latest brain-based treatments to her clients. She’s always learning, keeping up with advances in neurobiology and psychology to make sure she’s offering the most effective, evidence-based ways to help people heal—fast.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced degrees in family therapy and counseling supervision, Heather specializes in couples therapy, trauma, and addiction, with a special focus on helping people recover from sex addiction and betrayal. She founded Untethered Therapy, a nonprofit in Bellevue, PA, that’s all about raising the bar in mental health care—offering top-notch clinical services, community outreach, and training for other therapists.
Heather’s goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where people feel truly seen and heard. She loves helping clients break free from old patterns of pain and disconnection so they can build healthier, more authentic relationships. When she’s not working, you’ll find Heather recharging outdoors with her family, friends, and dogs—biking, hiking, or just soaking up nature, which helps her bring fresh energy and perspective to her work.
Heather’s approach is all about blending neuroscience with compassion to help you heal as quickly and thoroughly as possible—body, mind, and spirit. She’s ready to walk alongside you on your journey to wholeness, using the most effective neurotherapy and psychotherapy tools available today.

JANNA CLARK
M.S., QEEG-D
NEUROTHERAPY TECHNICIAN
Janna Clark is a passionate and dedicated professional at Transformative Neurotherapy. She has been a Neurotherapy Technician since 2023 where she has proven herself to be an asset, employing critical thinking skills and compassion for the clients to help guide them through the sessions and providing insight to help the client get the most out of their treatments.
Her background and enthusiasm for Psychology, Biology, and the combination of the two (Biopsychology) had prepared her for the challenge of this cutting-edge use of technology for mental health. Despite her professor’s prediction that this would be her future job, Janna took the scenic route. She learned the importance of the holistic approach as a Naturalist at Camp Sequanota, how to work with kids with different needs as a Registered Behavior Technician at Behavior Therapy International, and the importance of the proper use of science as a Lab Technician at Quest Diagnostics. When the opportunity to have her dream job arose, she took it. Finally finding her niche, she has pursued continuing education in Neurotherapy and related fields. Her goal is to provide the best, science-backed, holistic treatment to every client.
She finds fulfillment in helping individuals understand their unique brains to set themselves up for success. Her diverse clientele includes children needing support with managing their energy and emotional levels, adults struggling with self-criticism, and seniors seeking to maintain cognitive sharpness. Janna finds joy in providing insights and strategies to help people optimize their brain and live more fulfilling lives.
When she is not at work, Janna enjoys being outdoors with her husband and their Australian Shepherd. They regularly go hiking, camping, kayaking, and have a backyard garden. Janna celebrates a simple life, being much like a Hobbit (in all but size).
